Hayden's tid bits

I have decided that Hayden is really growing up way to fast. Just the past couple of days I look at her and think, "Your not a baby anymore!" She doesn't have the baby look to her anymore, and she is getting tall. She can reach almost anything now, and if she can't reach it by standing on her tip toes she moves her chair to stand on and reach it that way.

Hayden is definitely turning in to a girlie girl. She likes to put any thing she can around her neck, whether it's a scarf or a shirt or a dish rag, she likes playing dress up. She'll finds little things like my hair ties to wear as bracelets and she loves carrying around a purse. And she is always trying to brush her hair.

She also loves having her own little chair. The other day she started climbing on her high chair to just sit in it and then she stared standing in it so I decided it was time to go get her very own chair. Now Hayden sits in it all the time, she loves it.

Everything has a box. If a box is big enough she sits and plays in it for a while but if she finds a shoe box she puts her dolls in it and carries it around the house. If her dolls don't fit she puts little thing she finds and carries them around. But she does seem to put her toys away more cuz she thinks that if they don't have a box they go in the basket, it's nice that she's learning to keep things put away when she's not using it.

Hayden loves playing with dolls and stuffed animals, she cuddles them and tries to feed them and she makes sure they stay warm. She has little doll blankets, but they don't seem to work for her. She has to use my clean dish towels as blankets.

She Loves cuddling, whether she is being cuddled or if she is the one cuddling. When i get her out of her crib in the morning she pulls me as tight as she can. And when someone gives her a hug she usually starts patting their back. When we lay down with her she likes to have a arm over her tummy and she rubs our arm. Just the other day Jt was laying on the couch and she climbed up and maneuvered her way under his head and was playing with his hair. I was cute!

Anyway as you can see my little girl isn't so little anymore, and she is growing up so fast. But i guess that's what happens, i just wish it didn't happen so quickly!

More Easter Fun

So on Sunday we missed church for two reasons. 1-Hayden woke up really cranky and had a bit of a fever. 2- we all slept in. But any way after breakfast Hayden seemed to be feeling better and it was a nice day so we decided to color eggs and have Hayden do her own little Easter egg hunt in our yard. We had put Hayden down for a nap so while she was asleep we set everything up and did a couple eggs our self. Then when she wake up we helped her dip the eggs, even though she ended up using her hands. But she enjoyed coloring eggs. She liked dipping them in all the colors.

Me ad Jt getting things ready. JT took a self Portrait, he thinks he's so CUTE.

Hayden coloring eggs

The end result.

After we got done Coloring eggs we cleaned Hayden up and took her out side to get the eggs. She figured out what she was supposed to do really fast. She walked around an picked up every egg she saw. After the first 4 or 5 she started peeling the stickers off before she put them in her bucket. IT was so much fun watching her gather eggs.

She tried to carry her bucket like a Purse. She definitely is gonna be a girlie girl.

After the Hunt we went inside and made eggs salad sandwiches. But as i was getting lunch ready Hayden started throwing up, and She had been having bad diapers and a fever, which i thought it was because of teething. However we decided to take her to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. Well it turns out Hayden had Strep throat. POOR GIRL. No wonder she wasn't feeling good. But we got her medicine and She is feeling better today. And later that night we read about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which brought out the true meaning of Easter and the Scriptures really touched me and JT both. SO all in all It was a Great Easter.

EASTER FUN

We had a big Easter weekend. We started it out Saturday by going to the American West Heritage Center for Baby Animal days. Hayden had a blast. we walked around and looked at different animals and played with some of them, and we were able to watch some of a search and rescue presentation with the search and rescue dogs. Hayden liked the dogs. Then we went a saw the reptiles, we tried to get Hayden to touch turtle but she wanted nothing to do with it. And then we were able to hold a SNAKE. It was pretty cool. Here are some pictures and little tid bit stories, ENJOY.....

Here are some random pictures of our day.

Hayden was more thrilled about touching the animals when we weren't holding her, but we had tried to get her to hold them.

While we were looking at the animals Hayden would reach in and pet every one of them, that she could. With that Goats she would pet one and move down the cage and reach in to pet another one and then she would move her self around to the other side so she could reach every sing one. It was CUTE!

Hayden on a horse tire swing, she didn't like it to much

This is the cool Snake

It felt so weird, i could feel the muscles move on my neck!

she wasn't to thrilled with the Easter Bunny

These are the search and rescue dogs that Hayden liked so much. As the guy was started talking and giving the presentation, Hayden decided that she wanted to play with the dogs. We were sitting in the front row and Hayden couldn't get out of the stroller so she proceeded to YELL "Bubba, Bubba, Bubba" (bubba is the name of our dog.) and she was doing it loud enough for the guy to Pause and look at her trying to figure out what she was saying.

These are some pretty big OX, JT is 5'11 and they are almost as tall as him!

So as you can see we had a pretty good day with the animals, But to finish off he day we went to dinner and a movie. We went to see Monsters vs. Aliens. JT was all for it but I was little skeptical being that Hayden is only 15months old and might not behave too well. JT told me "As long as she has popcorn she'll be fine." And he was right. Hayden sat on Jt's lap with a little bag of popcorn for the first half hour of the movie. Her eyes didn't leave the screen, as she ate popcorn. She then came and curled up on my lap and slept for a little bit. When she woke up she went back to JT an the popcorn, as she watched the last half hour of the movie. She enjoyed the day out and slept through the night when we got home.

Daddy's little helper

JT found himself a toy, and by toy i mean his own little beater up truck that he can do what ever he wants with. He always complains that i won't let him take our car out mudding and stuff so yeah. He bought an 84 ford bronco for $200. but the only thing is that he has to get it running, which shouldn't take too much, we're pretty sure its only like a fifty dollar fix so yeah. Any way the other day JT went out to work on it and it was a nice day outside so we took Hayden out to play. All she was interested in was playing with the tools. so here are some pictures of hayden helping daddy organize his tools. And by that i mean take them out and roll them around and put them where ever she wanted.

Hayden's cute Hair.

So I've decided one of the best things about having a baby girls is when you get to do their hair. Recently I have discovered that Hayden's hair is long enough to put in pig full pigtails and a pony tail. Her hair is finally getting long. YAY.
her first set of pig tails

This is her pony tail, i'm not sure i like this so much, i think i'll have to wait till i can do more stylish things with it.

Running

So I have decided i'm going to run a half marathon with my Laura and Jescee (my sisters) later this summer. So I finally got my but in gear and went running, and my legs are so sore now, and even though i thought i was going to die after the first block, I actually ran about half of it so yeah. Wish me luck in getting into shape and losing weight. I really am determined to do this!

Our visit with Tami and Loren

Tami and Loren are Jt's mom and stepdad, they have been driving truck for a while and finally got a load to Salt Lake. They were planning on being there saturday morning and spending the weekend with us but then they were stuck in Wyoming for a day because they closed the roads due to a spring time blizzard, grrr. Anyway they finally made it Monday morning so we went down to have lunch with them before the headed out. Hayden was so excited to see them, she just had fun being around them. We went and walked around Cabella's, JT's and Loren's favorite store, and Hayden love looking at all the fish. We then went to Fuddruckers for lunch, where Jt did the one pound challenge. He ate a 1lb cheese burger and a 1lb plate of bacon cheese fries and a 1lb sundae. He didn't think he was going to make it through the fries but he did and then had the ice cream. He got a T shirt for it and was pretty proud of that. While Jt was eating that we were chasing Hayden in circles and she thought that it was the funniest thing ever! We then headed back to the Truck and visited a little longer, and headed home. Hayden didn't want to go home though. She cried most the way back, if it wasn't for kids music like POP Goes The Weisil and The Wheels on the Bus go ROund and Round she would of Cried the whole way home! Now if i Could only get those songs out of my head.

It's time for you to leave, bye bye!

So many people have heard some stories about how Hayden tells people to leave. But for those who have not here are some of them.

Back in December when Hayden was just 11 months old, Jt had been taking the missionary discussions and the relief society president was there. And after about an hour of sitting and talking the missionaries left and I picked Hayden up and wished them a good night. Then i turned and was talking to Linda (the relief society president). We were standing in the kitchen talking when Hayden started waving to her. Linda stated laughing and said, "Okay I get the hint Hayden you want me to leave." So as usual we continued our conversation and started heading towards the door. Linda stepped out and I was standing by the door inside with Hayden still on my hip. After about a minute of standing there Hayden grabbed the door and swung it shut and waved bye bye. I opened it and Linda was just laughing.

On a more recent occasion Hayden told my dad to leave. As many people know I work graveyard shifts a couple days a week and my dad spends the night and watches Hayden in the morning. On this particular morning I had to get some sleep because I had to start working my second job that afternoon. So i went home and went to my room and went to sleep. Meanwhile Hayden had woken up and played with grandpa for a while and then started down the hall to my room. My dad stopped her and told her that i had to sleep and she had to stay with him for a while. So then Hayden proceeded to grab his coat and give it to him, and then put his shoes in front of him. She stepped back and waved goodbye and blew him a kiss. She then turned and headed down the hall to find me....
